It also continues Guadagnino’s streak of making audacious films in a way that few other filmmakers are willing or able to approach. ” Alex Bentley CultureMap

After the roaring success of Challengers this year, Luca Guadagnino’s profound and kaleidoscopic new film is adapted from William S. Burroughs’ classic and controversial novel, ‘Queer’.

Beginning in a post-World War II 1950s Mexico City, an American ex-pat in his late forties, leads a solitary life amidst a small American community. The arrival in town of Eugene Allerton, a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.

Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey’s chemistry sizzles with beauty and sadness and both are joined by a eclectic mix of characters including the excellent Jason Schwartzman and unrecognisable Leslie Manville.
