Left Write Hook follows seven female survivors of childhood sexual abuse who respond to a call-out to take part in a 2-year experimental recovery program. Designed by boxing coach, academic and survivor herself, Donna Lyon, the program addresses both physical and emotional impacts of trauma through a unique combination of boxing and creative writing.

Through powerful participatory filmmaking, unprecedented access, and full engagement with all of those involved, this feature-length documentary captures an amazing journey of recovery, transformation, and friendship.

This special screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film makers.
