Gimme Shelter (Free screening)

Remains one of the most powerful rock documentaries ever made. ” Benjamin H. Smith Decider

TPH x THE EIGHTY-SIX SUPER SATURDAY FREE CONCERT FILM!
Called “the greatest rock film ever made,” The landmark documentary about the tragically ill-fated Rolling Stones free concert at Altamont Speedway on December 6, 1969. Only four months earlier, Woodstock defined the Love Generation; now it lay in ruins on a desolate racetrack six miles outside of San Francisco.

When three hundred thousand members of the Love Generation collided with a few dozen Hells Angels at San Francisco’s Altamont Speedway, the bloody brawl transformed a decade’s dreams into disillusionment immortalized in this film.

This screening forms part of our TPH x THE EIGHTY-SIX SUPER SATURDAY.
