With The Pelvic Thrusts, Melbourne’s smutiest ShadowCast as our guides to this cultural phenomenon through an all-dancing, lip-syncing, interactive spectacular. In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”

What is Queerspace?

Queerspace is an LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing support service established in 2009 by LGBTIQ+ communities for LGBTIQ+ communities. Queerspace has a focus on relationships, families, parenting and young people and offers co-located services across the north-west metropolitan region of Victoria. Their services include: Counselling (including individual, relationship and family counselling), Peer support including groups and seminars, and Professional development and support for organisations who work with LGBTIQ+ people and their families. They are the selected charity of Melbourne Rubberman 2021 Matt during his title year reign.
